The Heaton Park Tramway held their Blackpool themed day on 21st April 2014 with Blackpool Brush 623 in service. Blackpool tram 7 was rededicated into service as number 619 by Bryan Lindop of Blackpool Heritage Trams. Mr Lindop also had the honour of of driving 619 on the first journey.
There was also the opportunity to have a Tram Driving experience on Blackpool Grinder 752. We were also given the chance to see the progress being made with the New Lakeside Depot and have a look at Manchester 173 alongside Hull 96.
A number of enthusiasts travelled from Blackpool on board a LTT Heritage Bus to continue the Blackpool Heritage Tram celebrations that had been taking place in Blackpool over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
Many thanks to everyone at The Heaton Park Tramway for a great day. A perfect way to end a Holiday weekend.
