Leeds was the place to be on Sunday 31st August for The Leeds City Transport Vintage Bus Running Day. Historic Leeds Buses operated a 15 minute service all day between Thwaite Mills, The Armley Mills Industrial Museum and New York Street in Leeds City Centre.
The event looks to have been a complete success with the buses carrying large number of passengers. All of the buses looked and sounded perfect and are a credit to their owners.
This was the first Leeds City Transport Running Day and I'm sure many people, myself included are looking forward to the next event. It would be nice to see it as a regular event in the Bus Calendar.
Many thanks to Richard McAllister and all the vehicle owner/Drivers for giving us the opportunity to see and ride on these Historic vehicles, and everyone else involved in making this a memorable event.
