Midland Railway,Butterley 1960's Weekend
Spent the day in glorious sunshine at the Midland Railway ,Butterley for their 60's Weekend. A special timetable with both Diesel ans Steam locomotives of the era in operation.
The Golden Valley Narrow Gauge Railway were also holding a Gala over the same Weekend.
A splendid selection of classic cars,buses and Trucks were there as part of Road transport Rally being held on the Sunday.
In addition to this the Butterley Garden Railway,model railway,the miniature railway and live music there was so much to do and not enough time to do it.
This was my first visit to the Midland Railway and it certainly wont be my last. A brilliant event that everyone involved with should be very proud of.
