The North West Vehicle Restoration Trust held their 3rd Running and Open Day on 1st June 2014, and what a brilliant event it was. This was my first visit to the North West VRT and I can assure you it wont be my last. There was a large number of vehicles on display and buses operating a number of routes.
With so much to do and so little time to do it I still managed to travel to Kirkby on board Leyland Titan CUL122V, to Liverpool Lime Street on board Leyland Leopard XGS771X and to Prescot on board Leyland Atlantean 1055 and returned on Leyland Atlantean 1032.
With the unveiling of their latest restorations this certainly turned out to be a fantastic action packed day for any Bus Enthusiast, and with the sun shining it was about as perfect as you can get.
Many thanks to everyone involved for a very enjoyable day. See you all for the 'Built at Workington Day '
