Threlkeld Quarry held their annual Steam Gala marking the Fiftieth anniversary of the last steam workings and closure of Penrhyn Quarry. Six visiting Locos, The Ffestiniog Railway's Hugh Napier' and 'Lilla', Marchlyn and 'Sybil Mary' from The Statfold Barn Railway, 1238 and 'Stanhope' from the Mosley Railway and Threlkeld's very own 'Sir Tom' all operated Passenger and Goods trains.The Statfold Navvy was a sight to see at the top of the Quarry.
