So far this year,for one reason or another I've not managed to get to any of the events I had been looking forward to attending. So It made a pleasant change to be able to get along to The West Lancashire Light Railway for their Steam Gala on the 6th and 7th August 2016.
It was made all the more enjoyable when I realised it had been almost three years since my last visit, Time sure is flying past.
Irish Mail,Utrillas,Joffre and guest Locos GP39 and Alpha were in action over the weekend. The Merseyside Transport Trust were offering rides around the local area on vintage buses. There was also plenty of things to do and see for all the Family.
As I said before, This was the first event I've managed to get to this year and I was not disappointed. Once again the guys at the WLLR produced a brilliant event they can be very proud of.
